OK Jaanu Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor reunite as a live-in couple who refuse to solemnise their mutual ardour through marriage between love and career goals. This is their second film together after the mega-success of Aashiqui 2 (2013).
OK Jaanu is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil movie O Kadhal Kanmani (2015). The film also features Naseeruddin Shah, Leela Samson and Arjun Kapoor in a cameo. With music by AR Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar, director Shaad Ali hopes to recreate the magic with the team with whom he collaborated for Saathiya (2002), the Hindi remake of Ratnam’s Tamil original, Alaipayuthey (2000).
XXX: Return of Xander Cage The action-packed thriller is opening in India on January 14, six days ahead of its Hollywood release, to cash in on the Indian star in its cast. Previews in select Indian cities begin on the evening of January 13.
Extreme sports expert Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) emerges from hibernation to defeat the efforts of Xiang (Donnie Yen) to destroy the world. The multi-racial and global cast includes Deepika Padukone, Tony Jaa, Samuel L Jackson, Nina Dobrev and Toni Collette.
Haraamkhor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the school teacher who is cheating on his wife with a 15-year-old student in Shlok Sharma’s directorial debut. Shweta Tripathi plays the no-so-innocent student.
Live By Night Ben Affleck writes and directs a period crime drama drawn from Dennis Lehane’s novel of the same name. Affleck stars as Joe, a police officer’s son who becomes a bootlegger and a gangster in Tampa in Florida in the 1920s and ’30s. He is paired with Zoe Saldhana. Also starring Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina and Chris Cooper.
